Ground Circuit Inspection

Check for Open or Short in signal circuit
1. IG KEY "OFF".
2. Disconnect TPS connector.
3. IG KEY "ON" & ENG "OFF"
4. Measure the voltage between power terminal of TPS harness connector and chassis ground. (A)
5. Measure the voltage between power and ground terminals of TPS harness connector and chassis ground. (B)
  Specification : "A" - "B" = Below 200mV

6. Is the measured voltage within specification?
  YES
  
  Go to "SIGNAL CIRCUIT INSPECTION " procedure.
  
  NO
  
  Check for Open in ground circuit. Repair as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
