Repair Procedures: Installation

Install the retainer and nuts.
TORQUE: 12-15Nm (1.2~1.5 kgf.m, 8.7-10.8lb-ft)

NOTE: Install the crash pad and cowl cross bar. (Refer to INTERIOR .
Install the shift lever assembly (A).
TORQUE:

[A] 2-3Nm(0.2~0.3 kgf.m, 1.4-2.2 lb-ft)

[B] 9-14Nm(0.9~1.4 kgf.m, 6.5-10.1 lb-ft)

NOTE: Tighten the two bolts of both side linkage.
TORQUE: 7-8 Nm (0.7-0.8 kgf.m, 5.1-5.8 lb-ft)

[Order of installation]

(1) (temporarily tightening) → (tightening with specified torque) (2) → (3) → (4) → (5) → (6) → (1) → (7) → (8) → (9)

Install the sports mode connector (A).

Install the control cable (A).
CAUTION: Be sure to place the waving shape (B) of the cable as shown in Fig 3.

Install the control cable assembly from the transaxle. (Refer to REMOVAL )
Install the front console (A).

Install the console upper cover (A).
