General Information: General Description

The Front Impact Sensor (FIS), located on both sides at the front of the engine room, detects head-on collision.

When the FIS delivers a collision signal to the SRSCM, the SRSCM checks if the safing sensor (located in SRSCM) detects collision. If both the FIS and the safing sensor detect collision simultaneously, the SRSCM operates the front air bag.
