DTC C2402: Motor Electrical: DTC Detecting Condition
DTC DETECTING CONDITION CHART
| Item |
Detecting Condition |
Possible cause |
| DTC Strategy |
|
- Open or short of power supply circuit (ESC2)
- Faulty HECU
|
| Case 1 (Motor Relay continuous off, Open, Fuse blown) |
Detect Mode |
- Continuous (If the pump is switched on (FET on))
|
| Enable Conditions |
- If the motor relay is switched ON and motor voltage < (IGN voltage - 4.0 V) continued for 100 ms, the failure is detected.
|
| Fail Safe |
- Pressure decrease is no longer possible. (wheels block)
- The ABS/ESC functions are inhibited and the EBD function is reduced.
- The ABS/EBD/ESC warning lamps are activated.
|
| Case 2 (Motor Lock) |
Detect Mode |
- Continuous (If the pump is in the transition "on → off")
|
| Enable Conditions |
- After the end of the actuation of the motor relay, the pump motor is still in motion and is generating a voltage during it's slowdown. The generated motor voltage is monitored for a certain time on high level. The time depends on the supply voltage and is in the range of 300 ms to 125 ms. If the slow down condition isn't met, the pump is activated again and the slowdown time is measured again. This is repeated for maximum 3 times. If, after the last pump activation, the pump motor slowdown time is still to short, a failure is detected.
1st actuation: 200 ms2nd actuation: 1000 ms3rd actuation: 3000 ms |
| Fail Safe |
- Pressure decrease is no longer possible. (wheels block)
- The ABS/ESC functions are inhibited and the EBD function is reduced.
- The ABS/EBD/ESC warning lamps are activated.
|
| Case 3 (Ground loss, Motor relay continuous on, Motor Short to BATT) |
Detect Mode |
- Continuous (If the pump is switched off i.e. not actuation and no slowdown)
|
| Enable Conditions |
- Motor relay is switched OFF, VMR > 2.0 V continued for 1 sec, the failure is detected.
|
| Fail Safe |
- The return pump does not work correct.
- The ABS/ESC functions are inhibited and the EBD function is reduced.
- The ABS/EBD/ESC warning lamps are activated.
