Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery (-) terminal.

  3. Remove the front propeller shaft (A). (4WD)

  5. Remove the front muffler (A) or muffler hanger rubber (B), by removing rear muffler (C).

  7. Remove the rear propeller shaft (A).

  9. Support the transmission assembly with a jack
  10. Remove the cross member (A).

  12. Remove the insulator support bracket (A).

  14. Disconnect the 4WD ECU connector (A) or EMC connector (B).

  16. Remove the mounting bolts (A, B-4ea) and the transfer assembly.

  18. Remove the transfer assembly by lowering the supporting jack.
