Scantool Diagnostics

■ Check DTC 

1. Install GDS and access the DTC screen.
2. Check for Shift Motor DTC.
3. Clear DTCs and monitor the DTC screen while the vehicle is within the DTC Detecting Condition parameters.
4. Is the DTC cleared (DTC does not re-set)?

   YES 

   • Check TCCM connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
   • Check Mechanical problem of Transfer Case

   NO 

   • Substitute with a known good Shift Motor and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace Shift Motor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
