Repair Procedure: Removal

  1. Remove rear pillar trim.
    1. Remove rear pillar trim blanking cover.
    2. Remove rear pillar trim screw.

  2. Remove package tray.
    1. Remove rear seat cushion.

      Tightening torque: 17-26 N.m (1.7-2.6 kg.m, 12.3-18.8 lb.ft)

    2. Remove rear seatback.

      Tightening torque: 17-26 N.m (1.7-2.6 kg.m, 12.3-18.8 lb.ft)

    3. Remove hi-mounted brake lights.

    4. Remove package tray.

  3. Disconnect rear window defroster connector.
  4. Remove the rubber molding from around the window glass.
  5. Pierce the sealant with a pull knife and cut all the way around the windshield from outside the vehicle.

  6. Remove the glass to a safe place.
