UNDERDRIVE Clutch: Reassembly

Assemble the two underdrive clutch spring D-rings.
Install the underdrive clutch spring retainer (A).

Assemble the two underdrive clutch piston D-rings.
Install the underdrive clutch piston (A).

Using the special tool (09453-4C300), install the underdrive clutch piston snap ring (A).

Assemble the clutch plate, clutch disc and clutch reaction plate.
CAUTION: Align the two tooth of the clutch plate, clutch disc and clutch reaction plate with two holes of the underdrive clutch. See Fig 4.

Install the clutch reaction plate.
Install the clutch reaction plate snap ring (A).

Measure the end play between the snap ring and the reaction plate with 245.17 kPa (2.5 Bar, 35.56 psi) air pressure and 1200N (120 kgf) weight applied.
Standard value: 0.047-0.055 in (1.2-1.4 mm)

If the end play is not within the standard value, choose the suitable snap ring.
Install the two seal rings on in the input shaft.
Assemble the input shaft (A) in the underdrive clutch assembly.

Install the input shaft snap (A).
