Signal Circuit Inspection

NOTE: Check for open or short circuit in harness. Refer to "SIGNAL WAVEFORM & DATA " in the "General Information" procedure

Check the signal circuit for short to ground
1. Measure resistance between terminal 5 of the sensor harness connector and chassis ground
  Specification : Infinite
2. Is resistance within the specification?
  YES
  - Go to next step
  NO
  - Check the short to ground in signal circuit.
  - Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure
Check the signal circuit for open
1. Disconnect ECM connector
2. Measure resistance between terminals 5 of the sensor harness connector and 11 of the ECM harness connector
  Specification : 0Ω
3. Is resistance within the specification?
  YES
  - Go to TERMINAL AND CONNECTOR INSPECTION
  NO
  - Check the open in signal circuit.
  - Repair as necessary and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure
