Power Steering Gear Box: Installation

NOTE: Be sure to connect between a tube and a hose as shown in the illustration.

1. Installation is reverse of removal.
   TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

   Engine mounting bracket to subframe	50-65 (5-6.5, 36-47)
   Heat cover mounting	8-12 (0.8-1.2, 5.8-8.6)
   Gear box mounting	90-110 (9-11, 65-79)
   Subframe mounting	95-120 (9.5-12, 69-86)
   Engine mounting	50-65 (5-6.5, 36-47)
   Pressure pipe to oil pump	55-65 (5.5-6.5, 40-47)

2. After installation, bleed the air in the power steering system, (see REPLACING POWER STEERING FLUID )
3. Adjust the wheel alignment (Refer to FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENT ).
