Component Inspection

  1. CMPS check.
    1. Key "ON". (Don't disconnect sensors.)
    2. Select "vehicle scopemeter" in the menu, and connect channel A of scantool with terminal 2 of CMPS harness connector.
    3. Engine start. And check the signal waveforms.

      SPECIFICATION :

    4. Is the signal waveform within specifications?

      YES 

      • Substitute with a known-good ECM/PCM and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace ECM/PCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
      NOTE: There is a memory reset function on scantool that can erase optional parts automatically detected and memorized by ECM/PCM.
      Before or after testing ECM/PCM on the vehicle, use this function to reuse the ECM/PCM

      NO 

      • Substitute with a known-good CMPS and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace CMPS and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
