Steering Pad Switch: Installation

  1. INSTALL STEERING PAD SWITCH ASSEMBLY 
    1. Engage the 4 pins.
    2. Install the steering pad switch assembly with the 2 screws.

    3. Connect the 2 connectors and engage the clamp.
  2. INSTALL STEERING PAD (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  3. INSTALL NO. 3 LOWER STEERING WHEEL COVER (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  4. INSTALL NO. 2 LOWER STEERING WHEEL COVER (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

  6. INSPECT STEERING PAD (See  INSTALLATION  ) 
  7. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT (See  DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM  ) 
  8. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    NOTE: Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal (See INITIALIZATION ).
