Center Airbag Sensor Assembly: Removal

  1. PRECAUTION 
    CAUTION: Be sure to read "PRECAUTION " thoroughly before servicing (See AIRBAG SYSTEM  ).
  2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL 
    CAUTION: Wait for 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable to prevent airbag deployment.
  3. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission) (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  4. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission) (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  5. REMOVE UPPER NO. 1 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH (for Automatic Transmission) (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  6. REMOVE UPPER NO. 2 CONSOLE PANEL GARNISH (for Automatic Transmission) (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  7. REMOVE CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transmission) (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  8. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission) (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  9. REMOVE FRONT CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transmission) (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  10. REMOVE FRONT ASH RECEPTACLE SUBASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  11. REMOVE REAR ASH RECEPTACLE ASSEMBLY 
  12. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX REGISTER ASSEMBLY (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  13. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX (See  REMOVAL  ) 
  14. REMOVE CENTER AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY 
    1. Disconnect the holder (with connectors).
    2. Remove the nut, 2 bolts and center airbag sensor assembly.
