DTC C1616 Can Bus Off: DTC Detecting Condition

DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • CAN Bus off monitoring
  • Open or short of CAN circuit
  • Faulty HECU
Monitoring Period
  • Continuously (once per loop), but not check during detected high, low voltage or the first 1.5s after the HECU power on.
Enable Conditions
  • The HECU reset the CAN device after a CAN Bus Off event occurs. A failure is detected if the Bus Off event has occurred 15 times in succession.
Fail Safe
  • The TCS/ESC functions are deactivated.
  • The TCS/ESC warning lamps are activated.
