Drive Test Part 2

  1. Check the starting from D1 
    1. Move to D range.
    2. Accelerate with half throttle. If using hi-scan, read gear position.

    Does start from D1?

    Yes 

    No Check mark "Does not start from D1" on the diagnosis sheet and continue the road test.

  2. Check the shift-up D3-->D4 & shift down D4-->D3 
    1. Accelerate up to 80km/h.
    2. Retreat the accelerator pedal once and quickly depress it all the way. If using hi-scan, read gear position & throttle position.

    Does the A/T quickly shift down D4-->D2 when pressing the accelerator pedal?

    Yes 

    No Check mark: "Does not shift up D1-->D2. Or does not D4-->D2 Quick Down" on the diagnosis sheet and continue the road test.

  3. Check the shift-up D2-->D3 

    Depress the accelerator pedal all the way and check if shift up (D2-->D3) in a proper speed.

    Refer to SHIFT PATTERN .

    If using hi-scan, read gear position, throttle position, and vehicle speed.

    Does the A/T shift-up D2-->D3 in a proper speed?

    Yes 

    No Check mark "Does not shift up D2-->D3," on the diagnosis sheet and continue the road test.

  4. Check the shift-up D3-->D4 & engine brake 

    If the A/T shift D2-->D3, return the accelerator pedal.

    Does the A/T shift-up D3-->D4 and apply the engine brake?

    Yes 

    No Check mark "Does not shift up D3-->D4," on the diagnosis sheet and continue the road test.

    1. Stop the vehicle.
    2. Go to DRIVE TEST PART 3 .
