DTC P0506: Idle Control System - Rpm Lower Than Expected: DTC Detecting Condition
- DTC Description, the ECM monitors engine speed deviation from the target idle engine speed when the vehicle is stopped and the idle speed valve opening is stable.

The ECM sets DTC P0506 if the difference to the target idle engine speed is lower than the predetermined threshold. If the same error code is set in the next driving cycle, the ECM illuminates the MIL.
