- Check the shift-down
Shift-down while driving at each position. If using hi-scan, read gear position.
Does shift down occur?
Yes
No Check mark "Shift does not occur even though shifting down(D5-->D4, D4-->D3, D3-->D2, D2-->D1) at each position" on the diagnosis sheet and continue the road test.
- Check the engine brake
Does the engine braking effectively reduce speed?
Yes
No Check mark "The engine brake does not operate" on the diagnosis sheet and continue the road test.
- Stop the vehicle.
- Perform self-diagnosis. Refer to The case not using self-diagnosis (hi-scan) function.
