DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible cause
DTC Strategy
  • Time (Tfbi) from engine starting to the reaching engine coolant temp. of F/B on.
  • Poor connection
  • Improper coolant level
  • Malfunctioning Cooling System
  • Faulty ECTS
CASE 1 Enable Conditions
  • AFS voltage > 1.7V
  • Engine Coolant at start greater than or equal to -10°C (14°F)
  • Intake Air Temp. at start greater than or equal to -10°C (14°F)
Threshold value Temp. °C (°F) -8 (17.6) 20 (68) 82 (179.6)
Tfbi > 300 sec > 110 sec > 60 sec
CASE 2 Enable Conditions
  • AFS voltage less than or equal to 1.7V
  • Engine Coolant at start greater than or equal to -10°C (14°F)
  • Intake Air Temp. at start greater than or equal to -10°C (14°F)
Threshold value Temp. °C (°F) -8 (17.6) 20 (68) 82 (179.6)
Tfbi > 300 sec > 200 sec > 60 sec
Diagnosis Time
  • 300 Continuous
MIL On Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
