General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Circuit low input
  • Short to ground in signal harness
  • Contact resistance in connections.
  • Faulty ECT sensor
Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage > 10V
  • Time after start (if intake air temperature < -30°C (-22°F)): 600 sec.
  
Threshold Value
  • Measured coolant temperature > 138°C (280.4°F)
Diagnostic Time
  • 5 sec. Continuous
