Axle Shafts: Description
There are 3 different axle shaft joint types for this vehicle. Models with the 2.7L 6-cylinder engine use a center bearing and inner shaft that is not used on the 2.4L 4-cylinder engine. Removal, preliminary inspection and installation procedures for all models are similar, however disassembly, detailed inspection and reassembly procedures vary between types.
