Power Steering Oil Pump: Disassembly
- Remove two bolts (A) from the oil pump body (B), and then remove the suction pipe (C) and O-ring.
- Loosen the four bolts and remove the oil pump cover assembly.
- Remove the cam ring.
- Remove the rotor and vanes.
- Remove the oil pump side plate.
- Remove the inner (A) and outer O-ring (B).
- Remove the side plate spring (C).
- Mount the pulley in a vise and remove the pulley nut and the spring washer.
- Pull the pulley out.
- After removing the snap ring (A) of the shaft with snap ring pliers, remove the dust spacer (B).
- Tap the rotor side of the shaft slightly with a plastic hammer (A) to remove the shaft (B).
- Remove the oil seal (A) from the oil pump body (B).
- Remove the connector from the oil pump body, and take out the flow control valve and the flow control spring.
- Remove the O-ring from the connector.
NOTE:
When assembling, use a new gasket and O-ring.
NOTE:
When assembling, use a new oil seal.
CAUTION:
Do not disassemble the flow control valve.
