Component Inspection

Check VSS 

1. IG KEY: ON, Engine: ON
2. Check VSS's signal on scantool.
   1. Specification: Signal should vary between Low and High

3. Is the VSS's signal normal?

   YES

   1. VSS is OK.
   2. Possibility of defective ECM. Temporarily test with a new ECM and check for proper operation.

   If problem is corrected, replace ECM and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

   NO

   1. Repair or replace it. Then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
