Monitor Scantool Data

Install Scantool and select engine part.
With raise vehicle on lift, start and run engine in gear.
Let vehicle idle and monitor the "VEHICLE SPEED" parameter on the Scantool data list.
Does Scantool indicate near the specified value?
1. Specification: 10 km/h or less (6 mph or less)

YES
1. Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or ECM's connector.
2. Fault was repaired and ECM memory was not cleared.
3. If the problem works out, Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
1. Go to "Inspection & Repair" procedure.
