General Information: DTC Detecting Condition

DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Coolant temperature too low for lambda regulation
  • Contact resistance in connectors
  • Faulty cooling system
  • Faulty thermostat
  • Faulty ECT sensor
Enable Conditions
  • Minimum time after start
    • 2 min. for (intake air temperature at start > 10°C (50°F))
    • 5 min. for (-7°C (19.4°F) < intake air temperature at start < 10°C (50°F))
  • Battery voltage > 6V
  
Threshold Value
  • TCOmeas < 20°C (68°F) When TCOmodel > 20°C (68°F)
Diagnostic Time
  • Once per driving cycle
