DTC DETECTING CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSES

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Driver stage check
  • Open or short between MIL and ECM
  • Contact resistance in connectors
  • Burned out MIL bulb
Enable Conditions
  • Battery voltage > 10V
  
Threshold Value
  • Short to ground or line break
  • Short to battery
Diagnostic Time
  • 10 sec. Continuous
