Stall Test: Procedure
- Start engine.
- Check idle speed in P range.
Idle speed: 750-850 rpm (with parking brake applied)
- Shift selector lever to R range.CAUTION: Perform steps 4 and 5 within five seconds to prevent possible transaxle damage.
- Firmly depress foot brake with left foot and gradually depress accelerator pedal fully with right foot.
- When engine speed no longer increases, quickly read engine to speed and release accelerator.
Evaluation of stall test O/D OFF system
- Move selector lever to N range and allow engine to idle for at least one minute.CAUTION:
- Idling for at least one minute cools ATF and prevents its deterioration.
- Allow sufficient cooling time between each stall test.
- Perform stall tests for remaining ranges in same manner.
- D range
- 2 range
- 1 range
Stall speeds: 2200-2500 rpm
