Trailing Arm: Removal

  1. Lift rear of vehicle and support it with safety stand.
  2. Remove wheel and tire.
  3. Loosen the front lateral link retaining bolt and washer from crossmember.
  4. Loosen the rear lateral link retaining bolt and washer from crossmember.
  5. Loosen the two brake cable bracket nuts from the trailing link.
  6. Remove the lateral link pivot bolt, nut, two washers and lock-washer from spindle, then remove the two lateral links.
  7. Loosen two trailing link pivot bolts and washers from the spindle and trailing link bracket.
  8. Remove trailing link.
