Main Relay (Sedona & Sorento)

NOTE: Fuel and main relays differ slightly. See FUEL PUMP RELAY (SEDONA & SORENTO)  for main relay check procedure.
  1. Remove main relay from fuse/relay box located at left side of engine compartment. Check for continuity between relay terminals "B" and "D". Then check for continuity between relay terminals "C" and "D". See Fig 1. If in either check continuity does not exist, go to next step. If in either check continuity exists, replace relay.
  2. Connect a jumper wire between positive battery terminal and relay terminal "E". Connect another jumper wire between negative battery terminal and relay terminal "A".
  3. Check continuity between relay terminals "B" and "D". Continuity should exist. If continuity does not exist, replace relay.
