Sedona & Sorento

Turn ignition off. While backprobing sensor harness connector terminals No.1 (sensor ground) and No. 2 (sensor output) on Sedona, or connector terminals No. 1 (sensor ground) and No. 3 (sensor output) on Sorento with a DVOM set to volts. See Fig 1 and Fig 2 . Turn ignition on. Do not start engine. Check that TP Sensor output voltage is as specified. Voltage should be 300-900 millivolts. If it is out of specification, loosen TP Sensor mounting screws and adjust by turning TP sensor. Turning TP sensor clockwise increases the output voltage. Make adjustments with throttle in idle position. Tighten the screws securely after adjustment. Turn ignition off. If problem still exists, replace TP Sensor and repeat test.
