DTC 60: Passenger Module Open

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM . Disconnect ADU connector and passenger-side air bag module connector. Measure resistance of Yellow/Brown wire between ADU connector terminal No. 14 and passenger-side air bag harness connector terminal No. 2. See Figure & Fig 1 . If resistance is infinite, replace wire harness between ADU connector and passenger-side air bag. If resistance is not infinite, go to next step.
  2. Measure resistance of Yellow/Blue wire between ADU connector terminal No. 13 and passenger-side air bag harness connector terminal No. 3. If resistance is infinite, replace wire harness between ADU connector and passenger-side air bag. If resistance is not infinite, replace passenger-side air bag module. See PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
