Lower Control Arm: Installation

  1. Apply general-purpose grease to new tire dust boot.
  2. Press the dust boot onto the ball joint with a suitable tool.
  3. Install the ball joint to the lower arm and tighten 2 ball joint mounting nuts and bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Install rear control arm bushing with a washer and tighten retaining nut. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Tighten the 3 mounting bolts. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  6. Put the ball joint into the knuckle and tighten the lower arm ball joint pinch bolt and nut. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  7. Tighten the pivot bolt after installing the front control arm bushing. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  8. Recheck caster and camber and Readjust if necessary.
