Checking Fluid Level
NOTE:
Only use the COLD fluid scale on the dipstick if the vehicle has not been running and the outside temperature is approximately 68°F (20°C).
Drive vehicle for 30 minutes to warm up fluid to normal temperature. Park vehicle on a level surface and set parking brake. Allow engine to idle for 2 minutes, then apply the brake pedal. Move shift lever through all ranges slowly and then set it in Park. With engine idling, pull out dipstick, wipe it clean and reinsert it. Pull dipstick out. Check that the fluid level is within the HOT range, approximately 149°F (65°C), on the dipstick. If necessary, add appropriate transaxle fluid to proper level. See RECOMMENDED FLUIDS .
