Transaxle Range Switch

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Pull data link connector upward from MAF sensor.
  2. Disconnect air temperature sensor connector and MAF sensor connector. Remove fresh air duct and air cleaner assembly.
  3. Remove nut and disconnect selector cable. Rotate manual shaft into "N" position.
  4. Disconnect transaxle range switch connector. Loosen transaxle range switch mounting bolts.
  5. Connect ohmmeter. Adjust switch to point where there is continuity between the terminals. See Fig 1 .
  6. Tighten 2 transaxle range switch mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  7. Verify that the selector lever range position and transaxle range switch correspond. Connect transaxle range switch connector.
  8. Connect selector cable and tighten nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  9. Install air cleaner assembly and fresh air duct. Connect air temperature sensor connector and MAF sensor connector.
  10. Install data link connector to MAF sensor. Connect negative battery cable.
