Pressure Control Solenoid

NOTE: Pressure control solenoid valve may also be referred to as linear solenoid valve or line pressure solenoid valve.
NOTE: For circuit reference, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and/or WIRING DIAGRAMS  .

Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect transaxle 9-pin connector. Pressure control solenoid grounds through transaxle case. Using DVOM, measure resistance between transaxle connector terminal No. 3 and ground. Resistance should be 4.1-5.1 ohms at 68°F (20°C). If resistance is as specified, pressure control solenoid is okay. If resistance is not as specified, check transaxle internal wiring harness for opens or shorts to ground. If internal wiring harness is okay, replace pressure control solenoid as needed. See PRESSURE CONTROL, TCC & SHIFT SOLENOIDS  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
