Fuel Pump: Installation

Install fuel pump, to gauge sending unit assembly. Install fuel pump assembly into fuel tank, using care to not pinch "O" ring (seal). Reinstall installation screws. Connect pressure and fuel return lines to fuel pump and carefully tighten fittings. Ensure fuel lines do not twist or bend. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Prime fuel system and check for leaks. See PRIMING FUEL SYSTEM .

Lube "O" ring (seal) and install fuel pump assembly into fuel tank, using care to not pinch "O" ring. Reinstall locking ring (cap). Connect pressure and fuel return lines to fuel pump and carefully tighten fittings. Ensure fuel lines do not twist or bend. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Prime fuel system and check for leaks. See PRIMING FUEL SYSTEM .

Install fuel pump assembly into fuel tank, using care to not pinch "O" ring (seal). Reinstall 6 retaining screws. Torque to 95.5-147.8 INCH. lbs. (10.8 16.7 N.m). Connect pressure and fuel return lines to fuel pump. Ensure fuel lines do not twist or bend. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure. Prime the system and check for leaks. See PRIMING FUEL SYSTEM .

Install fuel pump assembly into fuel tank, using care to not pinch "O" ring (seal). Reinstall 6 retaining screws. Torque to 95.5-147.8 INCH lbs. (10.8 16.7 N.m).
