Description & Operation
The vehicle is equipped with one horn mounted behind frint bumper near the center. Operation of horn is controlled by a switch in the hor button located in the steering wheel. Electrical power from positive side of the battery is supplied to a horn relay located iun the engine compartment fuse block. When the horn botton is pushed, the horn relay is energized, and the electrical power is directed through the switch in the horn relay to the horn. The circuit is completed by grounding the horn through the horn bracket, and the horn sounds. When the horn button is released, springs force the button upward to open the horn switch. This is also known as a momentary switch. When this occurs, the relay is de-energized and horn operation stops.
