Control Valve Body: Installation

  1. Install control valve body, 8 bolts and wiring clips. See Figure . Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  2. Install oil strainer and 3 bolts. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Connect connectors. Install oil pan and a NEW gasket. Tighten 19 bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Loosely install nuts and bolts of engine mounting member. See Figure . Install engine mounting member and tighten bolts and nuts to specifications. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Install gravel shield under engine. Remove engine support. See Figure .
  6. Fill transaxle with appropriate fluid to specified level. See RECOMMENDED FLUIDS  and FLUID CAPACITIES  under LUBRICATION.
  7. Drive vehicle and check shift points, shift schedule and shift quality.
