Preliminary Checks

Check parking brake for correct operation. Repair as necessary. Ensure brake fluid level is between MAX and MIN in reservoir. Check all hydraulic lines for leaks. Repair as necessary. Ensure ABS 30-amp fuses, located in engine compartment fuse/relay box, are okay. Replace as necessary. Ensure wheel speed sensors, HCU and brakelight switch are properly connected. Ensure ABS warning light illuminates for 2-4 seconds when ignition switch is turned to ON position. Ensure brake warning light turns off when parking brake is released. After performing test drive, check for diagnostic trouble code(s) and record code(s).
