Removal & Installation
- Disconnect negative battery cable. ABS control unit is located under brake master cylinder. Remove 3 main fuse box bracket bolts from vehicle and remove main fuse box bracket. Remove unit connector cover from control unit. Pull up on lock tab to remove control unit 25-pin connector. Disconnect 6 brake lines. Seal open brake lines with plastic caps.
- Remove 2 hydraulic control unit bracket bolts from vehicle. Remove control unit bracket. Remove 3 hydraulic control unit mounting screws. Remove ABS control unit from bracket. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten brake lines, bolts and screws to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Bleed brake system. See BLEEDING BRAKE SYSTEM .
