Ensure vehicle is parked on a level surface. To check fluid level, remove retraining bolt and pry out Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) from transaxle. Wipe fluid from driven gear assembly and housing. Remove "O" ring from housing. Insert assembly into transaxle. Remove assembly and check fluid level as indicated on VSS housing. See Fig 1 . Add fluid through VSS hole as necessary. Install "O" ring (replace if necessary). Install VSS housing in transaxle and tighten bolt to 70-99 INCH lbs. (8-11 N.m).
