Retrieving Diagnostic Trouble Codes

  1. To enter self-diagnostics, connect Kia Power Scan/Kia Data Pro Scan Tool (0K2A1 189 AA0/K96 DP KIT), or equivalent, to OBD-II Data Link Connector (OBD-II DLC). See Fig 1 . OBD-II DLC is located below left side of instrument panel near center console.
  2. Start engine and retrieve Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION  table. Perform appropriate DIAGNOSTIC TEST.
