Front Wiper Intermittent Function Inoperative

  1. On Sephia, check WIPER (20-amp) fuse located in engine compartment fuse box. On Sportage, check WIPER (15-amp) fuse in passenger compartment fuse box. If fuse is blown, locate cause of blown fuse, repair as necessary. Replace fuse. If fuse is okay, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect combination switch 6-pin connector. Using a test light connected to ground, check for battery voltage at combination switch connector terminal No. 2 (Blue wire on Sephia; Red/Black wire on Sportage). If battery voltage exists, check combination switch. See COMBINATION SWITCH  under COMPONENT TESTS. If battery voltage does not exist, locate and repair open wire between fuse box and combination switch connector.
