On-Vehicle Testing Precautions

DO NOT reverse battery cable connections.
DO NOT ground generator 2-pin connector "L" terminal (White/Black wire) while the engine is running.
DO NOT apply battery voltage to generator 2-pin connector "L" terminal (White/Black wire).
DO NOT start engine with generator 2-pin connector disconnected.
DO NOT use high voltage type testers.
DO NOT ground generator "B" terminal . Battery voltage is applied to "B" terminal at all times.

NOTE: Ensure battery is fully charged and load tested before testing. Verify drive belt tension is correct, electrical wiring and connectors are in good condition and battery terminals are clean and tight. Wait at least 30 seconds after starting engine before taking readings.
