Disabling & Activating Air Bag System: Disabling

The SRS air bag diagnostic unit contains a back-up power supply. Air bag system back-up power supply must be de-energized before servicing any SRS Air Bag components. Disconnect negative battery cable and WAIT 30 minutes (1995) or 10 minutes (1996) before servicing air bag system components. To ensure complete discharge, turn headlights on.
