Default Action
- If CAN FD is still functioning:
- ESM will continue to communicate over the CAN FD bus. Customer will not notice any problems with vehicle.
- If both Private CAN BUS and CAN FD BUS are not functioning:
- Shifter may be locked in Park or Neutral.
- Gear selection will be disabled.
- Shift indicator Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) will be blinking.
- Shifter background illumination LEDs will be turned off.
- A Stored DTC will be cleared after 100 ignition cycles if the failure does not reoccur.
