Diagnostic Test
- READ AND RECORD DTCS AND ENVIRONMENTAL DATA - ERASE DTCS AND CHECK FOR DTC TO RETURN
- With the scan tool, read DTCs in all Electronic Control Units (ECUs) and record on the repair order.
- With the scan tool, run a vehicle Scan Report, or record the Environmental Data related to the DTCs.
- With the scan tool, erase all DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off for a minimum of 10 seconds.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Using the recorded Environmental Data and the When Monitored Conditions, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to: TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
- INSPECT THE DRIVER MONITORING CAMERA
- Inspect the Driver Monitoring Camera. Verify the following:
- Camera lens is not dirty, damaged, obscured or out of alignment
- Nothing is obstructing the view of the camera
- Steering wheel is not interfering with the view of the camera
Were any problems found?
Yes
- Repair as necessary.
- Perform the Driver Monitoring Camera alignment procedure in accordance with the Service Information.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to: BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 3
- Inspect the Driver Monitoring Camera. Verify the following:
- PERFORM THE DRIVER MONITORING CAMERA CALIBRATION PROCEDURE - ERASE DTCS AND CHECK FOR DTC TO RETURN
- Perform the Driver Monitoring Camera calibration procedure in accordance with the Service Information.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Turn the ignition off for a minimum of 10 seconds.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Using the recorded Environmental Data and the When Monitored Conditions, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did the DTC return?
Yes
- Replace the Driver Monitoring Camera in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to CAMERAS, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to: BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Performing the calibration procedure corrected the condition.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to: BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
