Brake System Control Module 2 (BSCM2)
| Refer to COMPONENT INDEX . |
On models that are equipped with the Hands Free Active Driving Assist System, the BSCM2 provides a redundancy braking mechanism and control. It provides a hardwired taillight redundancy signal to the BCM to turn on the brake lights when the driving assist system is braking through its own calculations and the brake pedal is not receiving any driver input.
The BSCM2 receives the front WSS signals and provides that data for the rest of the braking system and other modules that need the data on the CAN data bus.
The BSCM2 is powered by a 50 amp fuse and a 30 amp fuse in the Power Distribution Center (PDC). The BSCM2 receives an ignition RUN/START feed from a 10 amp fuse in the PDC.
The BSCM2 communicates on a CAN-FD data bus with the BSCM, CADM, EPS CVPAM, PCM and ORC. It communicates on a second CAN-FD data bus with the CADM2, CVPAM, EPS, ORC, SGW and BCM
