Removal And Installation: Removal

NOTE: LHD shown in the illustration, RHD similar.

Press the steering column shroud close out tab (1) upwards to disengage it from the steering column shroud and remove the tab (1).
Release the steering column lock lever (2) by placing it in the down position.

Remove the three steering column shroud screws (1).

Pull the lower steering column shroud (3) away from the upper steering column shroud (2) to disengage plastic lock tabs.
Remove the two upper steering column shroud screws.

If equipped with Keyless Ignition Node (KIN) in the steering column shroud, disconnect the KIN wire harness connector (1).
Remove the lower steering column shroud.
Tilt the upper steering column shroud upwards then disengage the gap hider and remove the upper steering column shroud.
If equipped with KIN in the steering column shroud, remove the KIN from the steering column shroud. Refer to MODULE, KEYLESS IGNITION NODE (KIN), REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
