Power Distribution Center (PDC)

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT - DUAL 12 VOLT BATTERY SYSTEM .
  2. Remove the Power Distribution Center PDC cover by pressing inward on the latches located on the sides of the PDC.
  3. Remove the nut (3) that secures the battery cables to the PDC. Remove the cables.

  4. Remove the nuts (2) that secure the power cables to the PDC. Remove the power cables.
  5. Loosen the screw (2) that secure the PDC wire harness connector on the underside of the PDC (1).
    NOTE: These screws are captured and cannot be completely removed.

  6. Use a trim stick or equivalent tool to release the latches (4) that secure the PDC (1) to the PDC bracket (3) and separate the two.
  7. Remove the wire harness connector on the underside of the PDC by gently wiggling from side to side while pulling.
  8. Remove the PDC (1) from the vehicle.
    NOTE: Image shows the exploded view of the PDC (2) and PDC bracket (5).
  9. If necessary, remove the fastener (5) and release the PDC bracket from the retainers on the fender reinforcement. Remove the PDC bracket from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.
