U196C-83 IMPLAUSIBILE Data Received From Engine Control Module Can Message Mot_TRANSM1 Integrity Error - Value Of Signal Protection Calculation Incorrect

NOTE:

The Scan Tool may display the description name of this Diagnostic Trouble Code differently with the following below: 

MESSAGE COUNTER CRC FAULT ON MOT TRANSM1 FROM ENGINE CONTROL MODULEMESSAGE - VALUE OF SIGNAL PROTECTION CALCULATION INCORRECT

The COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE MUST  be performed before replacing any component(s) or module(s). Perform the COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. Refer to COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE .

NOTE:

This DTC indicates a communication issue has occurred between the Sending control module (PCM) and the Reporting control module(s) that set this fault. 

NOTE:

Treat this DTC as a IMPLAUSIBLE SIGNAL DTC when performing the COMMUNICATION DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE.
